Dancers of Damelahamid - Spirit and Tradition
The SLCC proudly welcomes Dancers of Damelahamid on Sunday June 21 for two dynamic performances in the Great Hall. Spirit and Tradition layers projected imagery, soundscape, and Coastal Indigenous masked dance, immersing the audience into the rich and diverse ecosystem of the mountains, rivers, and ocean of the Pacific Northwest Coast of Canada. Spirit and Tradition’s key themes are reciprocity and ecological sustainability, conveying important teachings on balance, interconnectedness, and community.

Keith "Bubbas" Nahanee
Experience Keith "Bubbas" Nahanee, a First Nation Comedian from The Squamish Nation in North Vancouver, BC. Keith loves to bring laughter on & off the reserve. Catch Bubbas show at 2pm on National Indigenous Peoples Day in the Theatre at the SLCC. Rated 18+. Arrive early - seating limited to 78.

Spo7ez Cultural Sharing
Experience the SLCC Ambassador’s gift of meaningful storytelling through song, drum and dance. Adorned in regalia born from the land Whistler lives on and the history of the original peoples of this territory, young leaders of both Nations transform the audience atmosphere into the heartbeat of the bear, dance of the gopher, quickening of the salmon, and cry of the wolf.

Kids and Family Crafts
Gather the family in the Istken Hall for crafts with Cultural Ambassadors including button-making and colouring headbands of some of our favourite animals. Gratefully supported by the Fairmont Chateau Whistler.

Spo7ez Artist Market
Explore authentic crafts and wellness products from members of the Squamish Nation and Lil'wat Nation. Support entrepreneurial and creative spirit, and economic sovereignty while connecting directly with Artisans and community.

Storytelling in the Istken Pithouse
Gather with a Cultural Ambassador and hear stories from our Nations in the beautiful setting of the traditional Istken Pithouse.

Interpretive Forest Walk
Enjoy a guided walk through the forest with Cultural Ambassadors and discover the plants, land, and stories that shape Indigenous knowledge. A guided experience in nature rooted in Squamish and Lil’wat traditions. Meet at the Welcome Figure before heading to the Salish Forest.
