A spectacular events venue and meeting space, the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre in Whistler is a natural setting for making connections, for your next gathering, wedding, meeting or convention. From the Great Hall, and Theatre, to the Longhouse and the Istken Hall, each space inspires connection, understanding, collaboration, and creativity.

The Squamish Nation and the Lil’wat Nation created the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre through an unprecedented partnership with the goal of sharing our living cultures with the world. This spectacular venue is located on the shared traditional territories of the Squamish and Lil’wat First Nations in Whistler’s Upper Village and close to every luxury amenity in Whistler. It offers three distinct venue spaces within one facility to create the perfect backdrop to your unique event or combine spaces to provide an unequivocal setting with stunning views for each component of your program. The Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre is a place where magic moments are exchanged. It is founded on partnerships and is built with celebration. The SLCC is a destination for some, a journey for others and an experience for all.

 

PRIVATE EVENTS

Distinctive private parties and various corporate events, large or intimate, the Cultural Centre is built to host, foster partnerships and celebrate in style. Animate your occasion with cultural enhancements through performance or workshop, or enjoy an indigenous-inspired feast through our fabulous in-house catering team.  Partnered with two of Whistler’s stakeholder hotel properties as well as two independent caterers, the SLCC offers convenience and customization for your unique event.

Designed to celebrate the marriage of two distinctively different Nations, the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre provides a spectacular backdrop for the merging of families and celebrating new partnerships. Hold your ceremony amongst the totem poles and under exhibits suspended in the Great Hall, or dine amidst the beauty of the Pacific North-West forest setting while enjoying spectacular views of Blackcomb Mountain.
