The Squamish and Lil’wat Nations built our Cultural Centre to house and showcase our art, history and culture. Our vision is to share our culture with the community and visitors of Whistler in a meaningful and authentic way.
Join us for an hourly guided tour with one of our First Nations Ambassadors that includes a welcome song, captivating film and fun craft activity takeaway. Learn the meaning behind legends, carvings, art, songs and ceremonies. Experience the centre and have fun trying on some traditional regalia, play a drum, and discovering our interactive exhibits. Visit our Gallery and Gift Shop and enjoy lunch in the Thunderbird Café.
To accommodate all guests of Whistler who visit the Centre, we have translated our exhibit map into 8 different languages. We have also developed a self-guided English audio tour so guests can wander through the exhibits and art galleries at their leisure. Our Squamish and Lil’wat Ambassadors are always close by for questions and inquiries.
Our Cultural Centre is wheelchair accessible and we have one wheelchair onsite available for guests to use. If needed please contact us prior to your visit or ask for the chair at our admissions desk.
