28 Jun SLCC Storytelling Featured in Self-Guided Tour in Go Whistler Tours App

The Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre is proud to share authentic art and storytelling through the Go Whistler Tours App, created by Tourism Whistler. The curated tours guide guests to unique experiences and locations throughout the Whistler resort, from art galleries to nature walks, and help you adventure more deeply in Whistler.

Experience the Art & Storytelling of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and Líl̓wat7úl – this walking tour weaves its way through the Village to nine locations that are culturally significant to the Squamish Nation and Lil’wat Nation starting at and returning to the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre. The tour was thoughtfully curated by SLCC Curator Mixalhítsa7 Alison Pascal and features storytelling from Tsawaysia Dominique Nahanaee of the Squamish Nation and P̓áq̓emúl Shelby Dan of the Lil’wat Nation.

Guests can download the Go Whistler Tours App, and click the tour called Art & Storytelling of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and Líl̓wat7úl. Tours may also be viewed in a web browser at Go Whistler Tours.

The Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre also features in another tour named Whistler’s Cultural Connector – following a pathway between the six cultural institutions uncovering the stories that enrich the Whistler area.
