Current Opportunities:
Sous Chef – An important part of the culinary team, this person is responsible for helping in the kitchen and on the floor. This is an active role that involved assisting Chef with service set up, food preparation, menu planning and action stations.
Café / Kitchen Ambassador – Our Café/Kitchen Ambassadors get to showcase the rich history and amazing culture of Squamish Nation and Lil’wat Nation through a unique culinary experience. The Café Ambassador will prepare and sell food and beverages, support the kitchen team and ensure our guests have a positive café experience.
Retail Ambassador – The Retail Ambassador will join the Gift Shop team to create a warm and welcoming environment for our guests. Our Gift Shop team gets to showcase authentic, Indigenous talent and share stories about some of the key gallery and gift shop pieces.
Casual Catering and Events Server – Our Event team gets to showcase the rich history and amazing culture of Squamish and Lil’wat communities through a unique culinary experience. Come work with our team to deliver unique events steeped in the history and culture of the Squamish Nation and Lil’wat Nation.
Canada Summer Jobs
The Canada Summer Jobs Program through Employment and Social Development Canada provides opportunities for 9 weeks, 35-40 hours per week, with a start date from June 1, 2026. Applicants must be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment, be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person granted refugee protection, and be legally allowed to work in Canada.
Accounting Clerk – This role supports day-today financial operations of a dynamic Finance team, helping ensure our nubmers are accurate, our processes are followed and our financial infomration is reliable and meaningful.
Museum Interpreter/Cultural Ambassador – Sharing the rich history and amazing culture of Squamish and Lil’wat communities is the core of this role. As part of a fantastic team, the Museum Interpreter greets guests, leads tours, and creates an interactive and engaging experience for anyone visiting the SLCC.
Curatorial Research Assistant – This role focuses on sharing the rich history and amazing culture of Squamish and Lil’wat communityies. The Assistant Curator will help with preserving, researching, administering and interpreting the exhibition program and the Centre’s permanent collection.
Banquet Catering Lead – Our Banquet Lead Hand gets to showcase the righ history and culture of the Squamish Nation and Lil’wat Nation through a unique culinary experience. The Banquet Lead Hand will lead a team in providing warm welcomes and excellent service.
