Museum Youth Ambassador (Summer Jobs)

The Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre is seeking Museum Youth Ambassadors to join our Cultural Ambassador team to educate guests through sharing cultural knowledge and inspiring respect and appreciation for First Nations history and present day cultures. Read more about this position here.

Dishwasher

Our busy museum requires dedicated people to operate our back of house dishpit to complete the service for breakfast events. This important role will help our catering team successfully cater to our travel trade partners, private events and community events and prepare our facility for the team ahead. Banquet Server – Summer Feasts

Our Banquet Service team get to showcase the rich history and amazing culture of Squamish and Lil’wat communities through a unique culinary experience. Team Driver and Cultural Delivery Ambassador

Many of the SLCC team members commute daily from West Vancouver and Squamish. Our drivers play in integral role in ensuring our team gets to SLCC and home again in a timely and safe manner. Once at the SLCC this role will become part of the Cultural Delivery team ensuring our guests and welcomed and taken care of during their visit with us. For driving, you take great care in ensuring our team is safe and the rules of the road are followed. For cultural delivery, you share the SLCC history and culture with our guests. This role is 1-4 days per week, Wednesdays through Saturdays. Read more about this position here.

Line Cook

This person oversees aspects of banquets and café planning, production and execution. Through dedicated leadership, this role sets the pace of production and demonstrates how the culinary experience at the SLCC is a natural extension of our unique guest experience. Aboriginal Youth Ambassador

The Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre in Whistler is now accepting applications for ten spaces for the Aboriginal Youth Ambassador (AYA) program. This twelve week paid training begins September 6, 2017. The AYA is an immersive cultural and business program that teaches the foundations of business through the lens of a First Nations Museum.
