20 Mar Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre Announces New Executive Director: Liza Walli, starting April 2, 2024
The Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre’s Board of Directors is very pleased to welcome Liza Walli as the organization’s new Executive Director.
In her most recent role as General Manager of the Brew Creek Centre, Liza was instrumental in growing the business significantly, with alignment to the surrounding communities and the environmental ethos of the brand. Liza successfully galvanized a team and resources to create a clear vision for sustainability and commercial success, creating an iconic destination venue and farm.
Liza is an experienced senior leader and long-time Whistler resident, with a history of results in business development, hospitality operations and people & culture leadership. Liza’s unique expertise and curiosity to learn ensures both operational excellence as well as a high level of employee, board and community engagement.
Prior to leading the Brew Creek Centre, Liza was the Director of Employee Experience with Zip Trek Ecotours and the Director of People and Culture with Boutique Hotels and Resorts of BC.
As a skilled communicator and connector, Liza has led teams through complex and diverse business development initiatives and strategic planning processes. It has long been her mission to cultivate strong alignment across organizations to the overarching strategic plan; driving business success through exploration and collaboration with internal and external partners.
Liza has been a member of various advisory boards including the Women of Whistler and she is a champion for women following their passion and defining their own version of success in business and beyond.
Liza will work very closely with the team on delivering the SLCC’s strategic plan, in development between SLCC Ambassadors and the Board of Directors. Liza’s priority will be to work with the team on building operational plans that support cultural sharing and growth, continue to drive business revenues, and support funding opportunities.
