The Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre (SLCC) is a place where the cultures, stories, and living traditions of the Squamish and Lil’wat Nations are shared and celebrated. This November, we’re excited to reimagine and enhance the lower-level spaces of the Thunderbird Café and Gift Shop, creating refreshed, beautiful spaces that strengthen connections to the land, the people, and the cultures at the heart of the Centre. Through these renovations, our commitment remains steadfast: to honour authentic cultural representation and offer meaningful, welcoming experiences for every visitor.
While renovations are underway, visitors can continue to explore the SLCC’s exhibits, including the current feature exhibition, Wisdom of the Animal People, in Galleries 2 and 3. Guests can also enjoy cultural experiences and guided tours, with temporary Café and Gift Shop locations available onsite.
