Part of Nourish Whistler Wellness Series - Whistler’s month-long celebration of well-being - a grounding yoga experience rooted in strength, story, and self-connection. Led by Shayla Stonechild, a certified yoga instructor with over 500 hours of training at CMMN GRND, this session offers a deeply intentional approach to movement and wellness. Shayla weaves Indigenous teachings with traditional yoga practices, creating a space where each breath and posture becomes an act of reconnection. Her work centers on healing and reclamation, encouraging Indigenous youth and women, and all who attend, to return to their bodies in a way that honors lineage, resilience, and lived experience.

Part of Nourish Whistler Wellness Series - Whistler’s month-long celebration of well-being. Experience an unforgettable evening of Indigenous cuisine at the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre. The evening will begin with a cultural welcome experience, setting the tone for a meaningful and immersive gathering. Rooted in the traditions of hunter-gatherer Nations, our in-house catering celebrates the land’s seasonal abundance with locally sourced ingredients such as wild game, salmon, and foraged foods. Each dish reflects a deep respect for the land, guided by values of balance, gratitude, and sustainability—creating a dining experience that is both authentic and memorable. Join us for a warm and welcoming celebration of culture, food, and connection.

National Indigenous History Month

Experience living culture this June at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre in Whistler. Through guest performances, wellness experiences, immersive tours, storytelling, art, and cuisine, guests are invited to connect with the traditions, teachings, and contemporary expressions that celebrate Indigenous culture. Featuring Shayla Stonechild on June 19-20, Spo7ez Summer Solstice Feast on June 20 and immersive programming throughout the day on Sunday, June 21 to celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day.

Celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day on Sunday, June 21, at the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Líl̓wat7úl Cultural Centre (SLCC) in Whistler. Experience immersive cultural programming, including Dancers of Damelahamid, Comedian Keith "Bubbas" Nahanee, Spo7ez Cultural Sharing, Storytelling, Kids & Family Crafts, Thunderbird Grill, and the Spo7ez Artist Market.  Explore artwork and keepsakes in the Gallery and Gift Shop, and enjoy cuisine at the Thunderbird Cafe.
