Invest in Culture – Annual Memberships, Allyship & Donations
The Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Líḻwat7ul Cultural Centre (SLCC) in Whistler is a non-profit registered charity*, an Indigenous-owned organization, and employs over 90% Indigenous Ambassadors. All proceeds are invested into meaningful employment, training (including Indigenous Youth Ambassador Program) and cultural revitalization programs for the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) and Lil̓wat7úl (Lil’wat Nation), through the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Líḻwat7ul Cultural Centre.
The Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Lil̓wat7úl Cultural Centre (SLCC) is the result of a pioneering and collaborative partnership between our two distinct nations: Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and Líl̓wat7úl. The SLCC shares our two distinct cultures as a means to foster greater understanding of Indigenous peoples around the world. Whistler, a world-class resort destination, is situated on our shared territory, making it a natural setting for our authentic and distinctive cultures to be shared with an international audience. Daily operations at the SLCC include cultural sharing, museum tours, dining, and shopping opportunities that connect visitors with our knowledgeable Cultural Ambassadors.
Donations to the SLCC, directly support meaningful employment to our Indigenous community, and celebrate our living culture – song, storytelling, and exhibitions for the world to witness. We raise our hands to you for investing in an authentic Indigenous organization – honouring the distinctive living culture of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and Lil’wat7ul on the shared territory where Whistler resides.
Annual Allyship is a meaningful way for corporate businesses in our community to work alongside us to reach our goals. Businesses can partner through tiered allyship, including Thunderbird, Eagle, Bear, or Frog with diverse benefits. Collectively, we recognize the value of working together to build stronger ties between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people and support our purpose to uplift the Sḵwxwú7mesh and Lílwat7úl people, with pride and visibility on their land.
Annual Membership offers a way for community members to show their support throughout the year with unlimited free admission, half price admission for guests, and savings in the Gift Shop and Café.
The annual Spo7ez Online Auction raises meaningful funds each year towards cultural revitalization and the Indigenous Youth Ambassador Program. In September 2025, over a hundred Sea to Sky Businesses donated products and experiences to the SLCC Online Auction Fundraiser, with community members bidding on the donated offerings. Together, we raised $31,353 to support cultural revitalization and the Indigenous Youth Ambassador program through the SLCC.

Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre is proud to be designated the Authentic Indigenous mark by Indigenous Tourism BC (ITBC). The Authentic Indigenous designation is granted to Indigenous-owned and operated businesses who offer compelling, culturally appropriate Indigenous tourism experiences. The designation helps travellers identify these experiences throughout the province and acknowledges that they are contributing to the revitalization and preservation of local Indigenous cultures and languages.
The SLCC is proud to be named in The Original Original Accreditation Program with Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada (ITAC). The Original Original mark of excellence recognizes the SLCC as one of Canada’s best Indigenous tourism experiences and assures visitors of a quality tourism experience, and an authentic Indigenous (Indigenous-owned) business. While many businesses offer an Indigenous experience, not all Indigenous tourism experiences directly support Indigenous individuals, families and communities. The Original Original mark is the first of its kind and gives consumers peace of mind in knowing that they are directly supporting Indigenous Peoples.
