Celebrate Your Love in Whistler’s Most Unique Wedding Spaces.
Designed to honor the union of two distinct Nations, the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre is the perfect setting for bringing families together and celebrating new beginnings. Whether you exchange vows among towering traditional carving and suspended exhibits in the Great Hall, host a romantic reception on our Mezzanine Patio with breathtaking views of Blackcomb Mountain, or gather in the warm, circular embrace of the Istken Hall, each space offers its own charm and character.
Nestled in the heart of the Pacific Northwest forest, our venue seamlessly blends natural beauty, cultural significance, and versatile design. A wedding at the Cultural Centre promises to be more than just a celebration—it’s an unforgettable experience tailored to your love story.
The Great Hall located on the main level can accommodate up to 300 guests for an evening reception or 150 for a sit down dinner. Decorating the Great Hall are spectacular weavings, canoes, carvings and expansive floor-to-ceiling windows that look north over Lost Lake and Garibaldi Mountain Ranges. Great Hall rental includes the 78-seat Theatre.
The Mezzanine Patio’s 5,000 sq ft of decking floats into the forest and allows guests a view of Blackcomb Mountain. 2,500 sq ft of patio is covered in retractable awnings creating an outdoor weather-resistant event space. A fire pit provides a wonderful ambiance for after-dinner drinks and story-telling — a great setting to start or end a sit-down dinner. The Mezzanine can accommodate up 150 guests for dinner.
*Awnings cannot hold snow load so should not be relied upon during winter months.
The Istken Hall is a dynamic round room with wrap-around windows showcasing stunning views of the picturesque northerly mountain ranges and Lost Lake woods. Istken Hall can be used day or night and in combination with the neighboring cafe/lounge space for optimal customization for your specific event requirements. The Istken Hall can accommodate up to 120 guests for dinner.
