Dates: Saturday, February 19 – Sunday, February 20, 2022

Celebrate this Family Day Weekend with engaging Indigenous experiences at the SLCC. Experience the spirit of the Skw̲xw̲ú7mesh and Lílw̓at7úl through heartwarming performances, tours, songs, storytelling, and crafts for the whole family. Enjoy family lunch in the Thunderbird Cafe and browse the Gallery and Gift Shop.

Cultural Programming:

Saturday, February 19th
10 am – 5 pm         – What We Treasure Tours (On the hour, no tour at 1pm and 4pm)
10 am – 12 pm       – Family craft, colouring and activities in the Great Hall, and Scavenger Hunt
10 am – 12 pm       – Dreamcatcher – Craft Workshop* on the Skywalk
1 pm – 1:30 pm      – Spo7ez Performance in the Great Hall
2 pm – 3 pm           – Family craft, colouring and activities in the Great Hall
4 pm – 4:30 pm     – Spo7ez Performance in the Great Hall
3 pm – 5 pm           – Cedar Paddle Rattle – Craft Workshop* on the Skywalk
 
Sunday, February 20th
10 am – 5 pm          – What We Treasure Tours (On the hour, last tour at 4pm)
10 am – 5 pm          – Family crafts, colouring and activities in the Great Hall, and Scavenger Hunt
10 am – 12 pm        – 10-inch drum – Craft Workshop* on the Skywalk

 

We are pleased to be offering our Craft Workshops as a Free Activity for Family Day Weekend. We are grateful to be supported by the Province of British Columbia. Registration is required due to limited capacity. These workshops are now full and we thank everyone for their interest.

      Hi Heather, thank you for reaching out. No need to reserve a spot for the day, you can just join us on the day. Craft Workshop registration is full, however there will be activities for young ones available in the Great Hall. Please feel free to connect further if you have any other questions.
